The fast begins tonight at 8:19 PM
Mincha will take place at 8:05 PM followed immediately by Mariv.
At 8:30 PM there will be singing and remarks by Rabbi Motzen to set the tone for Tisha B’av.
Eichah will be read at 9 PM.
Tuesday, August 1
Shacharis will take place at 8 AM.
Rabbi Motzen will be discussing the idea of suffering in Jewish thought from 8:45 AM to 11 AM. This will include the reading of a number of Kinnos.
The bus to the Holocaust Museum will leave at 11 AM sharp and will return by 6 PM.
Mincha and Mariv will take place at 7:50 PM.
The fast is over at 9:03 PM.
Friday, August 4
After spending the last three weeks mourning the destroyed temple and our current state of exile, we will spend Shabbos Nachamu, literally, the Shabbos of comfort, focusing on a message of hope for a better tomorrow. Please join us for a special Friday night musical service – Mincha at 6:15 PM, followed by a Carlebach minyan at 6:30 PM. Services will be followed by a special kiddush.
