  • All food must be properly sealed from a Star-K establishment or be in unopened packages with a nationally recognized hechsher. Questions about particular hechsher should be addressed to Rabbi Motzen.
  • No homemade food may be brought in.
  • The shul ovens may be used to reheat food.
  • The Meat kitchen (sink, counters, ovens, warmers, burners, etc) may ONLY be used for parve and fleishig/meat items.
  • All utensils in the meat kitchen are considered meat. All utensils in the dairy kitchen are considered dairy.
  • During a Shabbos event, workers may not be taking pictures

Alcohol:

  • All alcohol must be kosher according to the OU/Star-K/CRC. Loose bottles of alcohol may not be placed on the tables.
  • If alcohol is served it is the responsibility of the client to ensure that is is being served by a designated indivudal.
  • Loose alcohol may not be placed on tables.
  • The bartender and the caterer/party planner must strictly adhere to all laws about not serving alcohol to minors and to refrain from serving additional alcohol to adults who appear to be inebriated.
  • Not following this rule will lead to your alcoholic beverages being removed from your simcha and stored in a private room where you can pick it up after the event.

Room Decorations:

  • The facility is available for decorating only on the day of the affair, unless special arrangements are made.
  • No decorations may be attached to the walls or ceilings in any manner.
